Feeling noobPosted: August 28, 2010
This would be something like a tweet, but since twiter can’t handle so many characters, it’s going to my blog. I feel like a noob. Sigh. A rather huge failure as a geek. I suddenly realized that I actually do not know how to do UNIX line commands.
I was thinking about picking up on it. But I realized that exams are coming and I SHOULDN”T waste my time on such things.
HTML – HyperText Markup Language
XHTML – eXtensible HyperText Markup Language
CSS – Cascading Style Sheets
DHTML – Dynamic HTML (which isn’t really officially a term i guess, since it’s just combining jscipt with html)
Then in sec 3 I got interested in hardware, which I started tearing apart and studying my own computer and stuffs. And got to know about the market and got to know more about the stuffs that I’m actually doing (feeling relieved that I got lucky and certain stuffs I tried worked)
And in sec 3 I also got interested in overclocking, which kinda wasted quite some of my time pushing my CPU to the limit.
This and that, also that time I started to know(play around) more professional softwares, like Adobe Photoshop and stuffs, and things like MAYA, Autocad 3D, just… Many many programs that I was playing around with.
Somewhere between 3 ~ 4 I began to find out about dual booting. And virtualization, desktop customization, networking protocols, linux. Just many many things. That I learnt during that time.
I wonder why the fuck I wasn’t studying.
OH YEAH I SEE THE REASON NOW -.-
Then… When the studying sets in. (okay I’m not really sure about that) But then again, many things in my life fucked up and shit. So… Overtime I didn’t actually invest that much time LEARNING about these things rather than reading about them. So I guess. I’m feeling rather, sad somehow. That I’ve not been putting in that much effort for the past… 1 or 2 years? It’s like, every time I want to really put all my time into studying all these, there’s always something more important in my life that needs taking care of. And this time, it’s the exams that are coming up. I should really just implant some kind of device that will remind me to DO my stuffs when I have the free time. Instead of just watching the shows at home all day. (or going out to screw around for that matter)
Okay since I’m on the topic I’m just going to figure out what I’ve been wasting my time on.
Learning new softwares
Reading up on things I don’t need to know
Reformatting for no reason
Let me expand upon learning new softwares. I’ll just look through my collection and type out what I’ve tried and played around with. (no I have not mastered them. Just, well, learnt the basic uses of it)
Adobe CS2 Master Suite
Adobe CS3 Master Suite
Adobe CS4 Master Suite
Anime Studio Pro
Autodesk 3DS MAX
Reallusion iClone Pro
Endorphine Education Edition
Acronis Disk Director Suite v10
Acronis True Image Home 2009
Diskeeper 2009 Pro Premier
Raxco Perfect Disk 10 Professional
Microsoft Office 93
Microsoft Office 2000
Microsoft Office 2003
Microsoft Office 2007
Microsoft Office 2010 Beta
Tune up Ultilities
Raxco Perfect Speed
Techsmith Camtasia Studio v6
Visual Studio 2008
Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 12
Corel Paintshop Pro X2
Corel DRAW Graphics Suite X4
These are those that are probably still just lying around somewhere. I have no idea how many I’ve deleted because they’re obsolete or I won’t be using them ever again. Honestly, I don’t think you would want to find out the list of animes that I’ve watched. I swear I’ve at least completed more than 50 of them.
47.5GB of songs. About 9000. I wonder how much time I spent listening to them.
Reading up on random stuffs takes up about half my time now. Well, screw it, I’ll just tell you guys where I get all my information from. What I read everyday. What websites I go to. Here goes.
That’s the 6 basic websites I read. EVERYDAY. And if I’m really in the mood. I’ll go to websites like
and others that I chance upon on.
I’m just saying, all these knowledge doesn’t come in a day okay. And even so I don’t even know a fraction of anything! Im’ just saying this cause it pisses me off when someone disses me when I don’t have a solution for something. Dude, it’s not that easy.
Honestly, I don’t give a fuck about studies. (well, back then, that is. It’s different now since I’m doing Computer Engineering right now). I just like what I do.
Well. At least now I know what I’ve been spending my time on.
I should get back to studying.
(p.s. I’ve never really learnt how to hack. Just the common sense I’ve picked up over the years to get over an obstacle.)
